Rosier Eglantier by Pierre-Joseph Redouté hand framed giclee fine art print. Digitally reproduced from the original artwork and printed on canvas textured fine art stock displayed in our beautiful Arundel 11x14" handmade black frame complete with clear perspex.
Pierre-Joseph Redouté, was a painter and botanist from Belgium, known for his watercolours of roses, lilies and other flowers at Malmaison, many of which were published as large, color stipple engravings. He was nicknamed "the Raphael of flowers" and has been called the greatest botanical illustrator of all time.
The Rosier Eglantier is a prime example of Redouté's ability to capture rich colour and fine detail. The Vintage Art Shop has included this particular piece in our Botanical Fine Art collection as the depth of colour enables it to be a powerful stand-alone illustration, whilst also offering vibrant range when featured as part of the full set of 9 illustrations. The original artwork has been digitally remastered and reproduced using gallery-grade fine art printing techniques and is available hand-framed.
